The Warmest way Possible to Tell a Tragic Story
snursahin24 January 2017
When it is about a child marriage, stories of the films are mostly so exaggerated that before giving a strong message, they irritate the audience because of the high dosage of all tragedies happening at the same time. But Yar1m was a movie that all the single lines were part of the real life and it was one of the strongest messages about child marriages still. The dialogues were so natural, the warmth between the characters were so from the daily life that I really felt like I am a witness of this story, I am a guest in this little Aegean house and drinking my tea while watching Fidan's life and also recognizing that most of our grandmas had the same destiny with Fidan and there are lots of Fidans still. As I mentioned before, the most significant part of this movie was that the tragedy was just like it is, it was not exaggerated, not distracted with adding extra tear drops but the pure feeling of leaving your home and trying to adjust to the new house, new culture and "husband" at the age of just 15.however, the final was a little bit disappointing comparing with the rest of the story; the message was good but it was a little bit romantic contrary to the texture of the general atmosphere of the movie.
