That episode title gives you a great idea what you're in for, but MTV is only a small part of it (although I liked how MTV was seen as redefining the musician as performance artist), but it's got its eye on the larger picture; New Wave, Heavy Metal, the explosion of Rap and the medium being used to (aggressively) say something substantive . . .
But in the end, it's all about the music. And as pointed out during commentary (and I absolutely agree), '80s music doesn't live on because of the big hair and wild style; it's because the content is so good.
All in all, a very good time. I found my toes tapping to songs I don't even like.
9/10
