Louisa. Part of the Problem?
Hitchcoc30 March 2018
Of course, we have already met Martin's therapist. She is quite young and pretty. Martin is walking on eggshells because he feels if he comes on too strongly, Louisa will put the final stamp on their separation. When she has a one on one session, she believes that she has all the answers and Martin's various symptoms are a hundred percent of the problem. Louisa describes Martin in a clinical way. She is smug and judgmental. There is also a new radio DJ in town and there is a wonderful final scene. The daughter of a couple pig farmers is at the center of it. One thing that we have to notice is that Martin is frequently heroic, but that will never be enough.

A really good episode.
planktonrules29 January 2016
This episode is quite good and it does a lot to help the ongoing plot along. Louisa has returned and is very, very reluctant to see Martin's therapist. The woman has requested Louisa see her once individually...a very sound idea...but Louisa feels the problem is 100% Martin's so why should she see her? And, when they do meet, the session goes poorly and Louisa is defensive.

A local radio station disc jockey and her attempts to both get the Doc on the radio and, if not, find SOMEONE to come on the show and talk about healthy living. Ironically, she does get the Doc to come on the radio...but it's when another guest on the station nearly dies on the air!!

Additionally, Bert Large has lost his business and got some sort of bad news...and disappears for several days. His son, Al, is naturally worried and spends most of the show looking about for him.

I happen to be a retired psychotherapist and liked the way the therapist was written. Although she asked a few close-ended questions, her comments were reasonable and to the point. She also seemed to see Martin's problems as part of both his problem and Louisa's...quite sound as well. It's really NICE to not see a crappy therapist on TV for a change...and I really enjoyed the show.

Warning: Spoilers
After a coupla average episodes , the writers come thru with a stellar episode- Finally someone confronts Louisa with her problems in the relationship and while at first she seems In denial much like her man Martin she seems to realize this at the end of the episode. Bert and his son Al have a very well written Father and son talk too as usual writing and acting are superb -next episode looks to be great also.
