Warning: Spoilers
Another wonderful season of this show concluded and when are we going to see a slew of Emmy nominations for this wonderfully written show? Donny Wahlberg deserves a best supporting acting nomination. Ditto for Bridget Moynihan in the supporting actress section. When is the show itself going to get an Emmy nod?

This concluding episode dealt with Danny feverishly looking for the guy who killed the witness and shot Danny's wife in the process of doing so. It seems that all bets are off regarding going slowly on this one.

What made the episode extra good was that Danny had to knuckle under to sister, the D.A., who was doing strictly everything by the book.

Of course, we expect and saw the Regan family coalesce when Linda was hospitalized. Police officer or not, we expected Danny to act in the manner he did outside the hospital corridor.

I get it..your a family of cops but really?

Warning: Spoilers
I am a huge fan of this show but this last season none of the characters stories had a conclusion of any sort. What about Janko and Jamie? What about Frank's willingness to stay Commissioner, what about Nicky's challenges in figuring out if she really wants to be a cop? What about Erin and her career and love life? The writer's could have gone so much interesting and fun places but they didn't.

As much as I like Linda Reagan's character, they haven't shown a lot of depth to her and then you shoot her the last episode. She should have been killed off. This would at least give Danny, the boys, and the Reagan family something to work off of. As I have said before a lot of the same drama that I think I could sit at this writer's table and write for them because I know what they will do. You want to keep viewers I suggest you up the drama and dig deeper.

Tense at the table
bkoganbing29 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
We've got suspects identified in the shooting of the gang task force chief and his wife and we pretty much know who gave the order from the previous story. Also a witness is dead and Amy Carlson is wounded by another member wannabe trying to make his bones.

The conflict still goes on between Donnie Wahlberg and Bridget Moynahan as Wahlberg does not like having his sister supervising his investigation. He has to get creative and does. The weekly Reagan dinner is very tense.

The finale is between Chief Tom Selleck and the head of one of the street gangs who ordered the assassination. This man thinks he's in jail and nothing can be done. Is he ever wrong.

Good finale for season 5.

Inappropriate table talk

I still have a problem with the discussions at the Sunday dinner table . Real law enforcement does not discuss current and open cases at the dinner table in front of others especially kids , wives, etc. Erin is full of herself when she continues to tell anyone who asks or she tells anyone who cares that she is an "assistant district attorney in Manhatten " ..Get over yourself, Erin. You are nothing more than an ADA in a pool of many others and no more important than anyone else and correct terminology among the layman, the title of ones job is cut down to three little letters, not spelled out like some over-indulged female legal eagle .

Did Frank rob a bank while a beat cop or what. He and the rest speak about the house that he lives in as theirs while growing up. What beat cop made that kind of money to afford a house of that size in that neighborhood ...

And speaking of money, did Frank not help his kids with their college expenses at all ? How come Erin doesn't still have student loans to pay off as she had law school after college and doubt she could have paid them off this soon.

In this final episode of the season, why in the heck did they have to wait for the arraingments of perps before he could run them for warrants ? That is a crock .. Anyone knows a cop can run a suspect for wants and warrants from his MDT's in their cars or from a desk terminal. And running wants and warrants is not limited to just cops... Civilians in law enforcement can also run them and so much more

Time to get Danny a new partner ..Baez is boring ...the lines written for her are not fit for a partner ...

If you want to put some spark into this series, how about some more background or flashbacks on Joe and Mary...we have seen photos of them so show us how they fit into the family life of the Reagans .We know that Joe was killed by his own but have never seen how it happened nor anything about Mary's illness and death. . Put some bodies with the characters that are referenced to. characters we hear, about but have never seen

Danny is above decency and the law again
dranthonykstevens21 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode and the one before it is all about Danny and his right to do whatever he wants. Begins with him arguing that he should be able to convict or kill a person that he thinks killed someone even when there is no evidence. In this episode he gets a witness in the hospital to agree to identify the murderer because Danny guarantees that he will protect his family and him. Then Danny leaves without doing anything. The witness is killed in the hospital and Danny's wife is shot during the killing. Danny again could care less about the death of the witness or that his lack of keeping his word caused his wife to be shot. Then amazing as it could be Danny is able to question the man who shot his wife and use his bully tactics on him. Danny proves that he is no different that the worst of the gang member on the street. I was further sickened that viewers gave this a 9, ie, they thought this how they would like real life police and justice to be.

Normally Blue Blood is a great series. The character of Danny usually does not make sense.

Not making any sense
hege-h26 June 2022
So here they are determent to do everything by the book. Yet Danny is allowed to work the case after his wife is shot? That's a major plot hole. And Danny, a seasoned cop, is supposed to think that a confession from a suspect hanging from a roof can be used? Makes no sense!

This was the one.

The one where I decided I have had a gutful of that ignorant, egotistical, loud mouth moron Danny. Good God if that jackass ever, ever put his hands on me like he does everybody else he would not know what the hell hit the creep. I am so sick and tired of this loud mouth know it all jackass. I have stopped watching this show because of the Danny character. It's too bad every other character on the show are fantastic. Well there is always one and Wahlberg's character is it I can NOT stand the creep.
