First day on the job for new cop Jake Vickers, an ex PCSO, son of Chief Super Robert Vickers, who's been fast tracked into the job, a ten week stint begins to learn the job.
I wonder how the Police would actually view the nepotism we had in the episode, I don't think it's quite like this now in the real world. Would he be out in a patrol car not knowing the roads!!
Pretty good camera work, it's a stylish looking show, there's lots going on to keep it interesting. The downside is that there was almost too much going on it jumped about a lot.
The usual clichés you'd expect to see in a cop show, too many to list. It did stretch the realms of reality at times, the cash machine theft was a little unusual let's say.
It was quite a quick change in Jake, he went from a-hole to the sweetest thing on Earth in seconds. He clearly isn't the brightest cop.
It wasn't brilliant but it was watchable, especially for 8PM. 6/10.
