In 'The Night and the Fury', the Riders travel to Dragon Island to train themselves and prepare for dragon attacks. They must travel across the island at night without their dragons on their own to a cave where Tuffnut is hiding with the dragons. Problems occur when Hiccup finds none other than Dagur, who is out hunting dragons. Not only that, but Hiccup let's slip that the last Night Fury escaped when they last met, so Dagur decides to hunt Toothless and Hiccup has no choice but to go with him and try to prevent him from killing dragons.
This one is very exciting, with a few tense moments and some huge development in one area. With Dagur, my favourite antagonist, returning, things were bound to get complicated as he's insane and thinks that Berk still hunts dragons. It's rather exciting down to the last minute, where huge development occurs when Hiccup must makes a very important decision. Aye, the ending makes for a rather exciting future. We also get to see Toothless sleeping like a bat, which is frankly adorable.
One thing I didn't understand is why they left Tuffnut to stay with the dragons. Surely he needs training just as much as Ruffnut, Fishlegs and Snotlout. I would have thought leaving Hiccup or Astrid, who need little training, with the dragons would be a better idea, with the other leading the group. But that's just one thing; overall this is a great episode with an exciting Hiccup and Toothless scene to boot. This one's definitely down as one of my favourites, mainly for the last ten minutes.
