When it gets it right, this show is amazing! One of the few 'appointment viewing' programmes.
In its last series (and I suspect whatever Ant and Dec say to the contrary that this will be the last series) it has gone for a nice mix of nostalgia and fun, with this episode in particular playing out almost like a 'Greatest Hits'.
The 'What's Next?' section was brilliant, so very funny, and would deserve to be on any 'best of' DVD the boys wanted to produce.
Perhaps it's looked a bit tired at times in recent years, but make no mistake - 'Saturday Night Takeaway' is a jewel in ITV's crown, and they will miss it when it wraps up.
