The acting is what makes up for everything in this series. At least with the veteran actors of Sam Niel and Anette Being. The rest of the cast was decent enough to push it a long. I do have to say that there were definitely some things that were a bit unrealistic, I would say the biggest of which is that the kids ALL jump to the conclusion that their father killed their mother based off an audio tape that clearly sounded like an altercation of some sort all though no where does she say anything incriminating and I have watched thousands of crime shows on the I. D. chanel , there's just no way the police would have arrested such a successful member of their community without more evidence, anyhow its worth watching. I'm just being picky.

This series was a very good slow burn that we enjoyed watching. It's hard to keep my husband engaged in television shows these days, but he was always wanting to know what happens next with this one!
With the tremendous main cast, mediocre guest stars, it was a crowd pleaser. UNTIL THE LAST EPISODE!
It was such a let down. There was zero realistic emotion, and it felt so politically correct it was nauseating.
It felt like the writers just gave up and didn't know how to end it, so someone handed the script to their young daughter to write a happy ending.
