Only guys are ever harmed by drugs.
sammkeenan20 August 2023
For a show that supposedly prides itself on quasi-realism and reflecting the modern world, this is so fictional, I wouldn't be surprised if two-headed grey skinned aliens wandered into the ED without anyone batting an eyelid.

A bad batch of drugs in a festival and there's only an old bloke and one other guy seriously affected? I've lost 2 friends (girls, i shouldn't have to mention) to dodgy party drugs, and frankly this feels damaging and insulting.

This smacks of paternalistic writers who are utterly incapable of even conceiving that us women can make catastrophic decisions too. That somehow the lack of a Y-chromosome makes us invulnerable to the effects of certain drugs.

Being produced by the BBC, once upon a time I would have expected better, but this is another sign of the steady decline of a once great institution, to the point where I am no longer surprised that they are incapable of even considering that young women are able to put themselves in danger.

Keep teaching young women that they are invicible, and more funerals will be held.
