This was a better show in general, let alone a semi-final. I don't know who put together the running order for the first nights offering, but it wasn't great.
The quality here was better, and the standard made for a more enjoyable night of entertainment.
Of course it's ITV, so any pace soon gets squashed due to them needing to have adverts every two minutes. It really does spoil the flow of things though.
The low point of the night was the appearance of Ben Elton, who was never very funny in his so-called pomp, and is even less funny these days.
Overall though, a much better night of BGT action.
