Apparently this show has two writers - well that's a surprise in itself because if you didn't know any better you'd swear that Stephen Mulhern was just given a gold jacket, Cameraman Rory, and told to get on with it.
Part of the fun of this show is just Mulhern very subtly taking the mickey out of members of the public. As I've said before, I do wonder whether there's 'lost' footage of them giving him it back as good as he gives it out, but it's just a pleasure to watch. Good old-fashioned style entertainment.
I feel this show is wasted in the 6:30pm Saturday night slot, and even then ITV, in their wisdom, bump it when something more important is happening, and should be seen by a wider audience.
