In this episode, all the mane cast are in character, and none are annoying. The plot isn't anything groundbreaking, but, it also isn't reliant on contrivances. The episode has musical numbers, a set piece, and a villain; all things G4 was good at putting in to make even their weaker episodes fun to watch and rewatch, and it mostly works here, too. All the new characters excepts the Trogs are decent; they have personalities, good voice acting and memorable designs. The Trogs are probably the episode's weakest point; the plot surrounding them isn't very compelling, they're easily defeated (by the heroes being smart and working together, which is good) without a cool action sequence, and we learn next to nothing about them by the end.
Overall, one of the better ones, which tells me the show is moving in the right direction.
