This why this show is so good; that it can take the viewer from desperately sobbing alongside the Proudman family over the loss of Patrick one moment to choking with laughter the next as Nina goes into premature labour. Talk about fluidity in motion. The physical comedy on this series is so well done. The comedy in general is so well done, as is everything else! Billie also breaks her cycle of self absorption here and switches over to the supportive kickass sister (person) she's capable of being. Beautiful episode!

Wonderfully written finale

Going straight into this episode after the last one with tears still in my eyes but this was such a beautifully written finale. Nina trying to deal with the loss of Patrick, the family all stepping up to help out & the beautiful bond between Nina & Billie was so important to bring them back together here. Mick showing his maturity throughout it all by finding Billie then being honest about how he loves her & the family but that might not be enough. It was nice to see Darcy & Cherie again even in difficult times. The show has always balanced seriousness & comedy very well & this was no exception with the final scenes with Nina giving birth & Billie driving her to the hospital was equally fun as it was stressful. This show does season finales very well.
