Enjoying this season so far...

Warning: Spoilers
And I enjoyed this episode. I like that they are showing the people as human and dealing with real world situations. Lois and the cancer thing is pretty powerful and done well. I know when my mother had breast cancer she got very sick from the Chemo. It's literally poison in your body. This episode hit home for me and I thought they did it well. The only thing I didn't like is the whole Lana slapping Sarah thing. Not because she slapped her, Sarah totally deserved to be slapped as she was being a selfish little Witch, but how Lana acted like she was a monster afterwards. She slapped her. She didn't hit her or beat her. Sometimes kids need to be reminded that they are the kids and the parents are the parents. That was the one thing I didn't like, but so far I'm digging this season. Can't wait to see where it goes.

Best episode this season so far

Warning: Spoilers
Last week I mentioned how weak the cold opens this season. Well this episode prove me wrong. It started really exciting even though it very quickly became obvious to me that it's just a nightmare.

Anyway the episode was god. Once again nice balance of screen time between the characters. The new Jonathan is really good and I like Candice. There is a lot of potential in the Jonathan's girlfriend's father is a criminal storyline. Hope it wasn't just a one time thing.

Lois was a total idiot this week but her actions were believable and understandable.

One thing that really bothers me is that I can't imagine how this Superman could survive 20 years as Earth's only hero when he constantly loses every fight and needs to be saved all the time. In this episode he only went up against some random goons and couldn't handle it alone. I get that they don't want him to feel too overpowered but situations like this he should be able to handle on his own.

One of The Best Episodes of the Entire Series
panagiotis19931 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Live Reaction / Review for Superman & Lois Season 3 Episode 3: Damn, that nightmare Clark had was really intense. Wow I didn't expect that it would make me so emotional to see Lois' dad crying. Also I find it to be interesting that Lois pretty much announced to all the people in her life about her cancer in what it seems to be a very short period of time. Im curious to see what Mannheim will be doing in this episode. I knew that Lois wouldn't be an easy patient. Her passion for her job can cloud her judgement. I really hope that eventually she will be able to think more clearly and do what needs to be done about her health. I hope she won't die, this would suck, I really hope that that's not the case here. Wait, the device to call Clark doesn't work and they are trapped in there? Damn thats creepy.

I have to admit that the drama in this episode is intense and really well done unlike other dumb drama ive seen in CW shows. Jordan and Jonathan going on a mission without Clark's approval? Now that's a really bad idea. I just cant get enough of Tyler's epic Superman landings. These villains were ready for Clark with their kryptonite gun, interesting. So they use Superman's blood to create some kind of superhuman or a clone? Probably superhumans, that's an interesting idea. Even the problematic relationship between Sarah and her mom is really well done in this episode, very dramatic in a good way. Wow, I don't know what to say about this episode. Probably one of the best episodes of the entire series. Intense moments, great dialogue, amazing performances, drama, action. While this episode doesn't focus much on Clark, it's still some great tv.

Im sure that we will see more Clark in the next episodes. Dont forget that the show's name is Superman and Lois so It makes sense to have a few episodes focusing more on Lois, especially now that she has cancer. Absolutely loved it and excited for what's next! My rating is 9.0/10.

The CW DRAMA with 1 or 2 Superman appearances
grlym-468491 April 2023
This show has fallen off the tracks and there is no Superman to rescue it and put it back in the tracks.

The first 15 minutes was a non stop breast cancer after school special. In real life, this is super important. And educating the public through tv has always had an important role and responsibility. But needs to be done right. I don't think it was done well here. Especially as she avoids medical to chase a story. And the fact that this drags the same way into multiple episodes with little to no development is frustrating. She has to get rescued by Superman only to rant at him because she can do things in her own and will get treated when she gets around to it.

Then the show goes into Lana lane being a nasty person on the same topic yet again. And her ex husband only has screen time to be her punching bag. I get it, he cheated, she divorced him. But I don't want to live their whole divorce in real time.

Both Clark. It's are punching bags for the girls they like.

The show has really made the female characters very unlikable.

And if you thought this review was long...please realize it's a Superman show and almost no Superman. This show is very depressing. Which is even more sad, because Superman shiws have always had an air of hope.

Heading the way of other CW shows - soap opera land
samquinn20062 April 2023
The first two seasons of this show were pretty good and seemed to have dodged the curse of the the rest of the Arrowverse (incredibly poor juvenile writing) but this latest episode is not a good sign.

Other than the big budget dream vision at the beginning, there was barely any superman stuff.

The rest was all soap opera drama and stereotype over-emotional women. Who writes this stuff?

I really hope that this isn't a trend as the poor writing has ruined every one of the arroverse shows. Flash became completely unwatchable; after the third season despite Grant Gustin coming across as a lovely guy and terrific talent.

Let's get back to superhero-ing.
dwoodzz-3514830 March 2023
So I tuned into Superman and Lois and instead got an episode of "This Is Us". Breast cancer, parent/teenager arguments, stolen truck, hook-ups, Ex-husband snooping, etc. It was five minutes of Superman and forty minutes of parent/teen relationships and life issues. The trailer park ex... where's this going? And why? Do they think the new Jonathan needs more screen time to keep this actor around. I realize when they started this series they wanted to focus more on the family aspect of Superman but hey... It's still a SUPERMAN show. The CW seems to have given up on their superhero shows. (see The Flash: as it crashes and burns hard in its final season). The first two seasons of this show were first rate. Let's quickly wrap up the sob stories and get back on track.
