Again the main story looking at AI was fine. Some laughs even, but how can you do a 5 minute piece on the sacking of James O'Keefe without once mentioning the last big story he did and what probably lead to his dismissal? You know the one, the weird pfizer exec who got honey trapped? The story which is the only reason any of us know who James O'Keefe is?
Why would you not mention that if you were trying to put across any semblance of impartial news telling?
So obviously this was a part of the smear James O'Keefe campaign and I don't think any of us really care about him, but we should care that this show is part of a main stream initiative to put across certain views, and we've seen this before when it was time to sync up and slam Elon Musk.
This show is less and less an insightful look into world events and more and more a show that enforces a determined narrative. It leaves a bad taste and damages the good parts of the show including John Olivers delivery, and the main event stories. The show needs to get this sorted and fire who ever is driving these lines that so clearly demonstrate someone there wants us to think a certain way.
