No pressure or anything, Cam Anthony. However, going into Tuesday’s Season 20 finale of The Voice, he was not only the favorite to win but the contestant that over and over again coach Blake Shelton had suggested could be the first actual superstar launched by the show.
The general sentiment, in so far as I could glean it, was that we all really liked Team Kelly Clarkson’s Kenzie Wheeler and had been particularly blown away by Team John Legend’s Victor Solomon in his showstopping performance Monday night. Cam, though… he was the one to beat. (He’d been...

Exclusive: Fox has just closed a mid- against high-six-figure deal for A Better Place, a spec script by Brad Ingelsby that will be produced by Scott Free’s Ridley Scott and Michael Schaefer, with Michael Pruss exec producing. This amounts to a reteam for Ingelsby and Scott. Ingelsby was a 27-year-old AFI grad living at home with his parents in Pennsylvania and working for his father’s insurance business when his very first script, Low Dweller, sold for $650,000 against $1.1 million to Relativity in 2008, with Scott attached to direct and Leonardo DiCaprio to star. Scott and DiCaprio both dropped out but remained producers, and the project eventually became Out Of The Furnace, the gritty drama that Scott Cooper directed with Christian Bale, Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, Zoe Saldana and Willem Dafoe. It was a throwback movie that proved too rough for mainstream audiences, a lot like the Cormac McCarthy-scripted The Counselor,...

The English actress looks stunning in her 1920’s themed attire on the May 2013 cover of ‘Vogue’! Carey will star as Daisy Buchanan in director Baz Luhrmann’s remake of ‘The Great Gatsby’. She certainly embodies her character in this ‘Great Gatsby’ themed cover shoot. Do You like her cover of ‘Vogue’?
Carey Mulligan, 27, looks fabulous on the newest cover of Vogue in a bright and beautiful Oscar de la Renta dress. She wore roaring twenties-inspired jewels, which were provided by Tiffany & Co., and put together by costume designer, Catherine Martin. While styled in the clothing of the character she is playing, the Pride & Prejudice star embodied the time period of author F. Scott Fitzgerald’s work. Film director, Baz Luhrmann, made sure to audition nearly every A-list actress in Hollywood, but Carey was the only one to make the cut.

Are we finally going to see a new movie from director Todd Field? It has been a far too long seven years since his excellent "Little Children" and we've been patiently waiting for "The Creed Of Violence" to get moving, while Field has taken to directing Captain Morgan commercials and producing the brewing "Hold On To Me" with Robert Pattinson and Carey Mulligan. And now, Field is lining up another movie to direct, but one that will certainly find him courting his biggest audience yet. Via his Cross Creek Pictures shingle, Field is teaming with Smuggler Films, to produce, co-write and direct "Beautiful Ruins." The film is an adaptation of author Jess Walter's massive bestseller, and she'll help pen the screenplay. You can see why this makes such a good big outing from the logline already, with the story beginning in the spring of 1962 off the Ligurian Sea, centering...

Robert Pattinson to get shirtless, sell drugs & more in his new criminal movie. According to a new report from Hollywood Life, our Twilight Saga boy Robert Pattinson is about to get pretty dark for his new "Hold On To Me" crime/drama flick that he's co-starring in with actress Carey Mulligan. Apparently, from what I'm hearing, his character is supposed to get shirtless again, and sell drugs like cocaine, and more. We've already seen Rob get pretty violent and shirtless in some of his other films, but this one takes him further into a dark path by adding on the selling of drugs,so it should be interesting to see him hustling. Rob's character will be a supporting role ,named Jimmy. Their source told them, Rob "plays an amazingly attractive guy who is a very cool cat, and he is also a top level drug dealer!" They also went onto...

It looks like Rob is changing things up a bit in his future roles! In his upcoming film, ‘Hold On To Me’, the hunk will get semi-nude and sell cocaine! Is it the right thing to do or is it a bit risky for his career?
We all know what Robert Pattinson did with the Twilight films, but now that he is branching out to attempt riskier roles, will the interesting selection of roles he is taking really pay off?
Based on a true story, Hold On To Me follows a dangerously seductive woman who, with her boyfriend, kidnaps the town’s richest man and holds him for ransom. They bury him in a box and, as you could imagine, things go horribly wrong. Rob plays a supporting role in the film, the woman’s longtime life love, Jimmy. He isn’t involved in the crime, but is involved in his own interesting situations.

Liam Neeson seems intent on making money off his somewhat-newly-minted role as Hollywood’s Only Action Star, as Deadline Hollywood reports that the actor has now signed on to star in the Brad Ingelsby-penned Run All Night. Warner Bros. is also reportedly negotiating with with director Jaume Collet-Sera to helm the project. Neeson and Collet-Sera are currently filming Non-Stop together, that Neeson-as-air-marshal actioner that sounds like a ton of fun, though obviously the merits of the resulting project remain to be seen. The real fly in the ointment? The lackluster Unknown, the pair’s first team up from 2011, which disappointed audiences eager to embrace a post-Taken Neeson. As long as they don’t bring Unknown co-star January Jones on board for Run All Night, we should be just fine. The story of Run All Night seems to be relatively straightforward, so hopefully it’s got some tricks up its sleeve. Neeson...

Breaking: Warner Bros has locked Liam Neeson to star in the Brad Ingelsby action film Run All Night, and they are negotiating with Jaume Collett-Sera to direct. The studio is aiming for a fall start. While Neeson is getting to the age where you don’t want to run much anymore, he’s thriving as an action star, after Taken and its sequel, and it doesn’t look like he’ll stop running and kicking ass anytime soon. He plays a mob hitman who, in a single night, is forced to take on his former boss. The guy has to protect his son and family, and winds up on the run from the mob and the authorities with his estranged son. Neeson and Collett-Sera are currently shooting Non-Stop for Silver Pictures, and they’ve been eyeing this as a return match. They also teamed for the thriller Unknown. Project is...

Every year, film executive Franklin Leonard releases his list, called The Black List, of most-liked unproduced screenplays in Hollywood. This year's list was compiled from the suggestions of 290 film executives, each of whom picked up to ten of their favorite scripts. Since the list started in 2004, many screenplays ended up being turned into films. In 2005, two of the top three scripts were "Lars and the Real Girl" which was nominated for Best Original Screenplay Oscar, and "Juno" which actually won the Oscar. See the 2012 Black List below, broken up by how many votes each screenplay received. Some of the projects are already in the works. 65 - Draft Day (Rajiv Joseph, Scott Rothman) On the day of the NFL Draft, Bills General Manager Sonny Weaver has the opportunity to save football in Buffalo when he trades for the number one pick. There is either a couple of football fans or Jerry Maguire/Moneyball with this year’s most liked unproduced screenplay. Close to 300 hundred film executives provided with the Black List creators a top ten of their favorite screenplays of the year and the consensus first overall pick (with 65 votes) comes from the recently featured in Variety (10 Screenwriters to Watch 2012) tandem of Rajiv Joseph & Scott Rothman and their drama which has nothing to do with enlisting in the armed forces. Draft Day – about the day in the life of a fictitious Buffalo Bills Gm appears to currently be in turnaround — which only means I expect to see this greenlight perhaps a little later than sooner – worth noting: top spot almost guarantees that the film will indeed go into production (2006, 2010 and 2011 are the exceptions.) Among the more alluring logline subjects we find on the list, I’d be keen on reading the...

While it would appear that Robert Pattinson is back together -- or at least hanging out with -- Kristen Stewart (just in time for their 'Breaking Dawn' press tour, which is surely no coincidence), the actor continues to line up an impressive array of projects. And already attached to movies with Werner Herzog and David Michod, he's got another non-Hollywood filmmaker that's lining up in his schedule. Pattinson will join Carey Mulligan in the previously announced "Nancy And Danny" which is now called "Hold On To Me." But this isn't some swoony romance. Penned by Brad Ingelsby ("Out Of The Furnace"), and set to be directed by James Marsh ("Project Nim," "Shadow Dancer") the story follows a money hungry woman, whose life didn't turn out the way she wanted, who uses a man as a pawn to help land her high school crush in a get-rich-quick scheme.
