First of all, when a series has to pad to get through enough time to stretch things out, it really hampers the flow of events. Bringing in Mickey's sickening mother is one of them. The continuation of the wedding between his ex and his investigator is also a a distraction, as is the dance studio business. That aside we have some really good courtroom drama which shows how what seems damning can be responded to when push comes to shove. I am also tired of the client. I find her to be unpredictable and untruthful, at least when it comes to what she sees as unimportant. That podcast guy is a pain but she invited him into her world without checking it out with Mickey. Of course, now we have the ultimate narrative hook which should be great fun.
