Just WOW.
I mean I DIDNT know what I was expecting before I started this drama but it wasn't this for sure.
This show has had so many negative reviews and ratings just because of the extremely conservative culture of many asian countries but I find it very ironic. We have seen way too many movies and series portraying how a man can be decades older than a woman, gets married to her and have a family (It happens in real life too due to patriarchal societal norms), but when a show depicts an older woman with a younger guy is just not okay??. I get the point of being forbidden because of the student-teacher relationship but this is actually what this story is about, a forbidden love, only this is much more complex and it comes with shocking unexpected and crazy twists and plots to make things even more complicated.
In my opinion this drama even if polemic, is just amazingly entertaining and addictive, it reminded me sometimes to South American telenovelas because it gets crazy crazy but that what makes it so gripping too.
The chemistry between the leads is just out of this world and they will make you feel things... ( the amount of steamy scenes are also very well directed)
The male lead ( Edward Chen) has done such an amazing job portraying his character, who is experiencing love for the first time and you can feel his passion exploding inside his body and the urgency and desperation he is going through just to get the attention of the female lead, the way he gazes at her, says it all.
The female leads character frustrated me at times because she would never ever explain anything to him but I guess that's just scripted like that to benefit the plot twists. The actress did a great job though.
Overall a fantastic and very entertaining series that you should watch like yesterday.
