I'm a huge fan of The Simpsons, having pretty watched it from the beginning when it debuted at the end of 1989. However I must admit, I hardly saw any of the Tracey Ullman Simpsons shorts which was the origins of The Simpsons.
I learned a lot, and also how Fox Entertainment Channel grew (this was before their right-wing news commentators grabbed control I guess) with The Simpsons along with Married...With Children. Here we see how the pilot episode, Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire, was developed and how it almost sunk The Simpsons. But thankfully through much hard work and determination, it was all right on the night.
The rest is history.
