Interesting yet predictable

Warning: Spoilers
A social experiment type reality show. Using the loose 'life swap' TV format in attempt to see if people from different races and cultures in a segregated multicultural city will integrate into the other's culture.

The show lacked enough airtime to do the experiment justice, and there was a real lack of analysis of what happened. Still, there was enough to suggest there is very little reason to be optimistic about the future of multiculturalism in Britain. One person dropped out when asked a question he didn't like. The others made a real effort and it did give some interesting insights.

The racial differences were obviously a problem at first, with language being the main thing to offend. Once that had been accepted and used less then it was clear the main barriers were always cultural, not race. Cultural practices that don't fit into the other person's lifestyle.

If you were to analyse it, which sadly didn't happen here, then you'd say the conclusion was a clear hammerblow to the notion of a happily integrated multicultural society ever happening in Britain! They just don't like each other much, certainly don't want to share each other's lifestyle, and segregation came out looking perfectly natural. Oh dear!
