Excellent, gripping episode.
Sleepin_Dragon19 October 2018
The first part was intriguing enough, but the second part goes beyond, it's gripping, edge of the seat viewing. Leo's side story continues, he proves his worth as he seeks the truth in Michael's death. The huge focus here though is the anthrax threat, this was very reminiscent of an episode of Waking the Dead, which had a very similar plot, but all the same it's gripping. The acting once again is fantastic, Mark Bonnar gets to prove his worth, Bill Ward also gets a bit more screen time, but it's Amanda Drew that once again steals the show, DI Reid was a great character, manipulate and devious, great to watch. Some very powerful scenes, including the anthrax attack and London caught up in chaos. This excellent series continues in some style. 9/10

Disparate Cases Come Together
Hitchcoc19 April 2019
A pharmaceutical company has some interesting reasons for the production of a new strain of anthrax. Two men are deeply involved for different reasons. In my previous review I mentioned the appearance of a female DI who had a relationship with Jack. Her actions, twists and turns, in this episode, are worth watching. Everyone learns something, and it's not always cut and dried. Well done, though frightening effort.

Exciting if a little far fetched

Warning: Spoilers
When two women are found shot dead in a basement the first suspicions are that it was a sex crime or they had been trafficked; however a toxicology test showed that one of them had been killed with the poison from a fugu fish before being shot. This leads the investigation to a defence contractor who, when they check the inventory realise some of their stock is missing. Inter-cut with scenes of the investigation we see a woman being kidnapped and held captive; presumably by the same criminal. Tensions run higher than usual as the DCI in charge of the investigation is a former girlfriend of Jack; who he'd accused of tampering with evidence on a previous case. As the case progresses things get dangerous for the team and when they realise just what the criminals are doing nobody is safe! If that wasn't enough Harry has been hired to perform a second post mortem on a child whose mother has been accused of murder.

This was another enjoyable if somewhat far-fetched case. I liked how the opening episode provided a couple of very plausible reasons for the murders before giving us the real reason which was totally unconnected with the suggestions. We learn some of the people involved fairly early on which served to make the episode feel more like a procedural rather than a whodunit although there were still some surprising revelations at the end. Harry's side story wasn't bad but at times it felt like a distraction from the main story.
