Finch is paranoid rebuilding his system after the hacker invasion, but he delivers the name of the fourteen-year-old black teenager Darren to Reese. He goes to his building posing as a cop and learns from the landlord that Darren's brother Travis was recently shot killed in his apartment. Darren was taken in custody by the police, but Carter informs that he is missing. Travis died because he protected his co-worker Lisa from the harassment of three punks that followed him to kill. Reese meets Lisa, who is afraid but gives a tip of a comic bookstore where the criminals are. Reese sees a man wearing Travis' hat and follows him. He surprises Darren trying to kill the man named Brick, but he takes his gun and Carter arrests Brick. Darren is delivered to Fusco later, but the teenager flees again. However, Reese finds him again and Darren believes he is a Ronin and hires Reese per one dollar to chase the men who killed his brother. Now Reese teams-up with Darren and discovers a gang of dangerous bandits that are protected by corrupted police ring. Meanwhile, Finch is worried with his former partner's son Will, who is investigating old files that belonged to his father and is curious, asking questions about The Machine.
"Wolf and Cub is an entertaining episode of "Person of Interest", with an annoying teenager fan of samurai magazines that is seeking revenge for the murder of his brother. Reese's investigation shows how corrupted the Powers that be of NYPD are. Alicia Corwin becomes curious about Harold and this action of Will might bring consequences to Finch. My vote is eight.
