Several months after the events in the previous chapter, Phillipe and his girl are now married, living in fear of Les Vampires. The widow of the man killed at the party is tricked into a meeting with Madame d'Alba, a vampire, who hypnotizes her and forces her to do her evil bidding, starting with unlocking the door to Phillipe's room, so the Vampires can get to him and his wife. Suffering from insomnia himself, Phillipe witnesses the Vampires coming in to the building and trying to get in through a window, after another acrobatic climb up the side of the building (But how can he use the putty and glass-cutter he brought with him to get in the window, if he's holding on to the side of the building, after climbing up to the first floor window?) She shoots at them, misses, they then kidnap her. Phillipe follows them, then traps then the following night, with the help of a massive police raid, which either kills, or at least results in the capture, of all Les Vampires, except Irma, who is ultimately shot dead by Phillipe's wifey.

Overall, Les Vampires was enjoyable serial to watch, with an interesting plot (which became far too complicated in some episodes) , an interesting look at Paris in 1915/ 1916, good acrobatic scenes of people scaling the sides of tall buildings, but it went on far too long.
