DS June Lenker continues her investigation as she pursues Errol Mathis's alibi. It leads her to a Turkish barber, the crucial witness who now has doubts about Errol's guilt.
However DS June Lenker is under pressure. Her car is burnt out. DCI Daniel Hegarty takes her off the latest investigation and places a police protection outside her house.
She feels watched by Hegarty, she also has a complaint of bullying made against her. June Lenker feels frustrated that Hegarty's lengthy tentacles are conspiring against her.
As for Hegarty, he has had a bit of a paternal relationship with Patrick Burrowes. The troubled son of the murdered Adelaide.
It transpires that Patrick has been dating Hegarty's daughter.
Halfway though the series. I don't find myself riveted by Criminal Record. Well acted, gritty but it seems that the whole premise is a mish mash of similar British police shows.
