This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever watched.
It touches beautifully on a sensitive subject, and manages to do so without being coarse: getting older, new relationships, generational conflicts... It has made me both giggle aloud, and feel deeply touched. The scene where the 2 members of staff get schooled in sex education when they thought they would be doing the teaching had me crying with laughter... until I choked with emotion.
There is a lot to learn watching this too: how the adult children deal with their parents in their older age, in particular, should make us think a bit harder about what happens when the roles are reversed.
I do hope I will see Jacques and Rose again very soon in a 2nd season; the show deserves it, and more!
