best jokes;

• BRITTA: I'm getting serious. I got a backpack, I got a new notebook. Oh, I got one of those see through yellow pens so I can do that thing where you color in the words.

SHIRLEY: Highlight? B: Probably the backpack.

• S: Abed may have figured out a way we can still win.

ANNIE: Really? How? ABED: It's simple. First we {Whispering}. JEFF: Abed, what did I tell you? You can't just mumble nonsense. No one's cutting away.

Erik Charles Nielsen almost steals the episode

Erik Charles Nielsen as Garrett almost steals this third season episode. The Chang-Britta dynamic was a bit unorthodox, and Jeff and Annie (the original one) relationship kind of grew, to culminate in the series finale.

The reference to Spartacus was hilarious. This is the second reference to a Kubrick movie in season 3. The first was a reference to 2001: A Space Odyssey in the season 3 opener.
