Well, this show is certainly different. It has that going for it, and Amazon Prime Video has had a lot of different and innovative shows going on so I am glad a streaming network is being inventive.

I don't know how good this series will be, but I am glad that this is only 7 episodes long. I hope they can tell a good story.

Not quite sure where things were going, but the last few minutes shook things up in a huge way. Ni'Jah wil be part of it and the obsession fandom of Dre, but now we have a crazy murderer on the loose? That has the makings of something special, so at least there is a possibility of something fun.

Definitely Not For Everyone

Don't get me wrong, Ep. 1 of "Swarm" was definitely a well written, well directed and well thought out episode

But, this episode often felt just a tad bit too rushed in some areas. The real problem I have with shows like "Swarm" in general is the pure lack of filter they tend to possess (which I know a lot of people love, hence why shows like this usually do so well)

Now, I'm no stranger to the R rated and adult content side of Tv and film, it's virtually impossible to ignore and some of it really is that great! (I.e Shameless, Succession, etc.)

But, more often than not, this type of genre tends to fall flat for me. I guess I've just never understood the importance of graphic sex scenes and physical assault in films. Why relive someone else's trauma?

But, if you do like that sort of stuff and are willing to give it a try, it's subjectively a pretty good episode, for the most part.

And on the plus side, it does have probably the most realistic murder scene I've ever seen! (except for the cake eating part of it)
