Something different this time, and definitely one of my all-time favorite episodes, as Bear Grylls takes two selected fans of the show (and rookie survivalists), a 39-year-old man from New York and a 29-year-old man from Minnesota, to British Columbia, Canada, and puts them through HIS mountain-rappelling, snow-sliding, bunny-cooking, worm-eating, frozen-river-crossing paces. At the end, they have conquered their fears (of height and water), and they come out of the experience exhausted but enriched. It is a concept that writes itself - which is probably why Bear Grylls followed up on it much more in his next projects. *** out of 4.
