The little prince writes home to his beloved rose on the tiny asteroid about his visit to the planet of time. Despite his companion the fox's instinctive warning, the prince follows magical clues. They enter a village where everything is frozen in a point in time. The prince successfully risks winding up the tower clock, which was blocked by the evil serpent's black thoughts, thus liberating local leader Caractactus and his people. He explains every village on the planet is in another timezone and guides the duo on an adventurous journey to the great clockmaker, who has been missing for months.

The little prince tries to fix things by turning back the clock handles and thus time even further and creating a fabulous monster to fight the clock-wrecking one. Both sort of backfire. The prince however show crucially superior insight in psychology.
