Christine and her son are prisoners in the sea rescue building on fire ,but here comes the husband and voila :there are free; as the inspiration begins to run dry ,the writers borrow from HG Clouzot's "le corbeau " (a writer of poison-pen letters) and mainly from Kubrick ("shining") : the huge hotel shunned by the tourists with its long corridors ,its revealing photograph on the wall ; Stanley Weber tries his best to look threatening , scary ,and he is even given a "Friday the thirteenth " treatment in the last pictures ; the hackneyed trick of the room number 127 repeated again and again to make sure the audience won't forget it :why not 813,huh?
