Witty but annoyingly political

This spinoff continues the clever wit of the original but the one off political lines that are one sided are annoying. It catapults you out of this fictitious world back into the real world of left and right. Keep the comedy lose the politics. Both democrats and republicans watch this show. Sprinkling this show with left wing political lines of dialogue is only going to alienate half of the viewing base. These lines and comments don't add to the show's storyline so there is no need for them. Also, add more of the teasers that the original had. If this is a spin-off this should have the clever elements that the original had that captured fans attention and made it a decade long hit.

Episode 210

How I Met Your Mother poked fun at age difference in a relationship in one episode so I suppose it was only natural to do so in this series. It always makes for easy jokes too, most of them didn't land here, but we've seen worse.

I just remain confused for what the end goal of this show is. Not enough laughs to just be a thing to watch one-offs of, and then not enough long-term development to drive deeper engagement.

Not horrible, but the show is not going to be appointment TV for me. Hilary Duff is solid as a lead, but definitely not one of the more memorable female-driven roles on TV these days.

I'm really enjoying the show. The dynamic is great within the group and love Kim Cattrall. I don't see enough of her on my TV. I'm loving the show, and can't to see more cameos.

That said....this part erks me. Why is Valentina's wardrobe just not sitting right with me? She's supposed to be a stylist and she's always in something fuzzy or out of date. The last few episodes were good, but the episode 10 outfit is right back to fuzzy. Sofie is in a spring wardrobe and Valentina is wearing a leather blazer and fuzzy crop top. I don't get it. They need to do better for her. It's as if they haven't decided on her style. She's so fun and confident. Please update her wardrobe and do her some justice.

A Realistic Review Of The 10th Episode

One of my main criticisms about How I met your father is that they don't want to leave anyone of the main characters behind; so, usually a lot is happening in an episode and it feels chaotic. Now we can see a lot of main characters and actors in the series: Sophie, Jesse, Valentina, Sid, Charlie, Ellen, Future Sophie, Future Son and Hannah! And almost always everyone gets a scene and a story line in an episode. As a consequence, some relationships and scenes keep being dull and not well-developed. Two examples of that would be the whole Ellen's girl friend story and Jesse's attempt to get laid.

Until this episode Sophie and Val's performance as best friends seems to be off. They sure seem like friends but not best friends, at least not yet. But all of the boys have good and believable chemistry with each other.

What I didn't like the most in this episode was the whole Val and Swish story. Not believable and not even funny.

Overall, it wasn't a good episode but it wasn't bad either.
