This episode was surprisingly not that bad. It definitely leaned into the How I Met Your Mother style with the two characters dealing with an over the top guest star and (allegedly) hijinx ensued.

The show still has a long way to go before it even gets to "funny" status, but this episode actually gave me hope. The scenes with Sophie and Jesse delivered for the most part and they got the notion across that this will have a Sam and Diane vibe for the majority of its run.

We need more multi-cams on television and on streaming so I am happy we have this, but still, even a good How I Met Your Father episode is pretty mediocre compared to other shows.

Starting to find its vibe

I really really enjoyed this episode. Its starting to feel more and more natural with each episode. This episode was quite easily the best episode they have put out so far. The characters are starting to feel more relateable and much less fabricated. The show is finally starting to resemble HIMYM, which I'm sure was something the viewers were looking for. The vibe altogether feels very familiar. I guess the writers decided to focus more on the storylines rather than trying to create unnecessary character developments in every single episode. Overall, it's working out for the best. PS Charlie suited up, and he looks damn good in it!

It's better than the last episode the show started to look like more like the original show HIMYM with all flashbacks and stories postponed to tell later as the narrator style or even the character that you met but don't remmeber her very well "BLA BLA ALERT" , loved the dynamic between sidd and Hannah in this episode actually she's not bad I don't mind if she appears in more episodes. And I loveeeeeed the weird misogynistic man and his wife he is like the the one true version of the white american man that we all hate and he was hillirious you fell guilt for laughing too hard on his jokes about women and i loved ho jessie and sophie seemed scary and uncomfortable there they have such a good dynamic and finally the one whan val got wrong and thought that charlie won't back to game soon but how wrong she was.

Getting that old hopeless romantic vibe back!

Val telling Jesse on how she believes she and Charlie will end up together literally brought me back to the reason I love "How I Met Your..." shows, both of them, that is, the hopeless romantics. That moment was really heartfelt. Hope they don't sink the show in the further episodes.

Apart from that, Ellen was as usual my favourite character. I don't know why, but I really relate to her on so many levels.

The part where Jesse can't remember Val's date's face and name brought me back to another HIMYM character Blah Blah! They executed the current character perfectly. With changing emojis. And that part with the eggplant and peaches almost had my crying XD.
