Once you've watched Daniel Craig's latest James Bond outing Spectre - and let's face it, you're going to watch Spectre - one of the many questions on your lips will be "So who played Mr Hinx?"
The answer, as the credits, IMDb and the photocall will tell you, is former wrestler Dave Bautista.
So for a little bit more background on one of Bond's most intimidating foes, here's Digital Spy's newcomer's guide to the human embodiment of "Big Dave".
His wrestling career
A 46-year-old, 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m), 278 lb (126 kg) man mountain of Filipino and Greek descent, Bautista has gone by many other names over the course of his wrestling career, including Batista (note spelling), Dave Batista, Deacon Batista, Khan and Leviathan.
As a wrestler, Bautista has claimed so many titles it's almost ridiculous. He is a six-time world champion, winning the World Heavyweight Championship four times and the WWE Championship twice.

RZA's "The Man With the Iron Fists" hit theaters in 2012 and earned $19 million worldwide on a budget of $15 million. Despite the fact that Universal Pictures clearly lost money, it proceeded with a direct-to-dvd sequel. Today we have a trailer for "The Man With the Iron Fists 2," which is coming to DVD, Blu-ray and VOD on April 14th. RZA reprises his role as the enigmatic blacksmith Thaddeus for the sequel, which follows a mysterious stranger as he leads a rebellion to liberate a Chinese village from its oppressive overlord. The cast includes Dustin Nguyen (22 Jump Street), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (47 Ronin), Eugenia Yuan (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend), Pim Bubear (Ninja: Shadow of a Tear), Carl Ng (New Police Story), Simon Yin (Ip Man), Ocean Hou (Man of Tai Chi), Grace Huang (The Man with the Iron Fists) and Andrew Lin (The Man with the Iron Fists). Just like "Jarhead 2: Field Of Fire," we're not sure why these decisions are made, or by whom, but for some reason, Universal has decided it's in their best interest to make a sequel to "The Man With The Iron Fists." The much hyped martial arts flick, directed by genre enthusiast and Wu-Tang Clan member RZA, was a resounding disappointment and box office failure, but at the very least, this followup includes his involvement. Titled "The Man With The Iron Fists: Sting Of The Scorpion," Roel Reiné — a specialist at this sort of thing with "The Marine 2," "Death Race 3: Inferno," and "The Scorpion King 3: Battle For Redemption" among his credits — directs the movie co-written by RZA and John Jarrell ("Romeo Must Die") that seems to involve more gangs fighting each other. There are no actual plot details, which hardly matters, since the first movie barely made any sense anyway,...

The majority of non-wrestling fans are quick to dismiss “WWE Superstars” (as they’ve been branded by the now 50 year old company) when it comes to them appearing on the big screen. While a few too many excruciatingly bad cameo appearances have made that at least somewhat understandable, there are a surprising number of wrestlers who have proven that they have what it takes to impress audiences in the squared circle And on the big screen.
As incredible as they may be in the ring as they put their bodies on the line on an almost daily basis, wrestlers don’t always have what it takes to make the transition from getting a 90,000 strong crowd on their feet with a great promo to appearing anything other than wooden on a movie set. However, some do, and here we look at ten of the best performances from WWE Superstars turned actors!

As an abashed fan of the Riddick character, I await the upcoming Riddick in great anticipation. While I'm bummed that this looks like Pitch Black Redux, I can't really say a single thing bad about any of the promotional materials Universal has released so far. This movie is looking good.

Given the news that American professional wrestling legend Dave Bautista (The Scorpion King 3: Battle For Redemption) has been cast as Drax in the forthcoming Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy, I thought I’d take a look at the ten best films to feature fighters turned actors. Check them out below:
Enter The Dragon (1973)
No list of fighters turned actor would be complete without Bruce Lee. Widely considered to be the best Martial Arts expert ever, he even invented his own Martial Arts philosophy – Jeet Kune Do. Before dying at the age of 32 Lee starred in a string of Kung Fu movies the best known of which is Enter The Dragon. What it lacks in plot and dialogue it more than makes up for in sheer power and energy.
The Mummy Returns (2001)
Dwayne Johnson found fame in the ring as ‘The Rock’ and proved to be a firm fan favourite.

Last month, it appeared that Conan remake star Jason Momoa had won over Marvel executives to score the role of hulking warrior Drax The Destroyer in the company’s far-out space tale Guardians Of The Galaxy. But that remained rumour, and indeed someone else has been signed for the role, with former wrestler Dave Bautista taking on Drax instead.Bautista, who got his start in entertainment via the WWF/WWE, has been slowly inching his way into film and TV with such projects as House Of The Rising Son, The Scorpion King 3: Battle For Redemption, last year’s The Man With The Iron Fists and, more unexpectedly, Werner Herzog’s My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done.Guardians promises to be his highest profile role yet, one he won despite competition from Momoa, Isaiah Mustafa and Patrick Wade. The character (who also goes by the slightly less superheroic...

But negotiations are not going as smoothly as fans of Momoa would hope, it has also been reported. If a Momoa-Marvel deal doesn’t go through, Lr says there’s another musclebound fella waiting in the wings to grab that coveted, potentially career-making role of Drax — former wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista, who has been steadily climbing up from the ranks of direct-to-dvd (with roles in “The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption” and “House of the Rising Sun”, which he starred in) to meatier roles in big-budget productions like the recent “Man with the Iron Fists” and the upcoming “Riddick” with Vin Diesel. According to the site,...

It shouldn't come as a surprise to any of you that Vin Diesel would release another new photo from Riddick. This time he sits on a throne of bones. Here's the note that came along with the photo,

It's been awhile since Vin Diesel has released any photos from his highly anticipated sci-fi film Riddick. So, here's an interview with Total Film in which director David Twohy talks about the 'R' rating, and what fans can expect to see in the franchise. He starts out by discussing how making an 'R' rated film is so much better than making a PG-13 film.
If you make it PG-13, then you have to make concessions, and that's what happened on The Chronicles of Riddick where we had to downplay a lot of our action sequences and remove a lot of the blood. We found it was tying our hands, so we vowed not to do that.
Sounds good to me! He goes on to talk about where they would have taken the franchise had The Chronicles of Riddick been a big box office success for Universal Pictures.
Had Universal said to us,...

Vin Diesel is keeping fans excited about his new Riddick movie with yet another badass image from the film featuring Riddick with some kind of crazy big battleaxe ready to go ballistic on some poor bad guy that I imagine will loose his head with that weapon.
The movie also stars Karl Urban (Star Trek), Jordi Molla (Bad Boys II), Matt Nable (Killer Elite), Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), Bokeem Woodbine (Total Recall), Dave Bautista (The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption), Conrad Pla (Immortals), Raoul Trujillo (Apocalypto), Nolan Funk (Aliens in America), and Keri Hilson.
