Could've been great

Without Murray "really" being there, it's just not the same. We already lost grandpa and now to lose dad, the show is coming to an end.

No spoilers, but fun "rocker" cameo in this ep.

Great Episode Warning: Spoilers
Best part of the long awaited Wedding Episode, besides the nuptials, is Jeff Garlin dubbed into scenes from old footage and the stand in having so much airtime. Bravo!

Painful to watch.

Warning: Spoilers
I used to be a big fan of this show but after this episode sadly I'm done. Why not stick dead gramps in too. Painfully obvious that Murray wasn't there, even though we're supposed to pretend he was. The jokes are tired too. Goodbye Goldbergs and thank you for most of your seasons. It's been a fun ride till now, and the giant cliff the show fell off.

Put a fork in it

If it wasn't obvious before, this episode is exhibit A of what NOT to do when removing a key character (Murray Goldberg) from your show. Series creator (Adam F. Goldberg) and the various production companies responsible for The Goldbergs had plenty of advanced notice that there were big behind-the-scene issues on the set. Their collective inability to adapt, overcome and improvise has resulted in very (very) weak subsequent episodes, suggesting current production is a cluster****. Disappointing, as The Goldbergs was a solid comedy. It's likely too late, but maybe Adam F. Goldberg should consult with that guy who played GySgt Thomas Highway. I hear he's done pretty well navigating the ups and downs in Hollywood.

If I could give it less than 1 star I would

Awful, sad, pathetic, a show that was once a really good show has become ridiculous. They've taken beating a dead horse to new level. PLEASE in the name of all that is good and decent end it. No Murray, no Pops, NO GOOD.

CGI version of Murray?
Avgvwr26 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This could have been a great episode, but the absence of Murray is a massive void, making it a 1/10. All footage of Murray in this episode seems to be from earlier episodes and is awkwardly added in. You see the back of a stand-in that is clearly not Murray. Murray standing at the wedding looks like his face was CGI'd over another person's face.

End it please

Warning: Spoilers
First we lost Grandpa, he was great on this show, then they cancelled Murr. The show has gone down hill. Used to be my favorite show. I think they digitally added Murr and I don't think that was really him hugging Erica. It's just not funny anymore.

This could have been a great episode I'm TV history, if it was last season
kevintbriner15 June 2022
The ABC app doesn't let you watch but a few episodes at a time so we waited and got a free trial of Hulu and watched it, easier to wait, so we just saw the episode.

I get stuff happens and they had to make due but if they had this episode last season when Pops was still alive and with Murray having real participation it would have been amazing. They could have at least had Pop Pop and Uncle Marvin there even with the snow storm.

I haven't given up on the show like some but they really should have made this the last season without Murray it's just not the same and the obvious attempts to put him in with doubles is annoying, not to mention using phrases from now when it's supposed to be the 80's.
