The first match is Jake Roberts versus the Sultan (Rikishi Fatu under a mask). The Smoking Gunns take on Bob Holly and Alex Porteau. Gorilla Monsoon says that Kevin Nash and Scott Hall are signed with WCW and will NOT be coming back to the WWF, despite what Jim Ross says. Jerry Lawler's guests on the King's Court are Vader and Jim Cornette, who has a wrestling "workout" with Tony Williams. Marc Mero faces Owen Hart in a Intercontinental Championship tournament semifinal match. We see a report of the WWF's tour of South Africa. Faarooq faces Sid in another Intercontinental Championship tournament semifinal match. Undertaker cuts a promo on Goldust. Paul Bearer and Mankind cut a promo on Shawn Michaels. An okay episode.

Mediocre stuff.

Warning: Spoilers
Live from Wheeling, WV

Your hosts are Kevin Kelly, Jerry Lawler & Jim Ross

Jake "The Snake" Roberts Vs The Sultan (W/Bob Backlund & The Iron Sheik)

Jake chases Lawler around ringside until Lawler hides behind The Sultan. The Sultan is Rikishi. Rikishi wins with the Camel Clutch after Lawler distracts Roberts. This would be another crappy gimmick for Rikishi. He had marginal success as Fatu in The Headshrinkers, but his biggest claim to fame is Rikishi by far.

Owen Hart and Brian Pillman are backstage celebrating the alleged reconciliation of Owen and Bret Hart. Pillman claims Bret Hart will be at the In Your House: Mind Games PPV. Stone Cold says he's gonna get answers from Bret Hart because Stone Cold is the best.

The Smoking Gunns (W/Sunny) Vs Bob Holly & Alex Porteau

Owen Hart and The British Bulldog distract Billy Gun, allowing Holly to roll up Billy from behind to pick up the upset victory. Holly was essentially a glorified jobber at this juncture, so him getting a win is pretty surprising. Also, Jim Ross claims Razor Ramon and Diesel will be appearing live on Raw next week.

*1/2

Gorilla Monsoon says he's really curious about who will be appearing next week. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall are under contract to another organization (WCW) Gorilla says if any other misleading statements are made by Jim Ross, he may have to suffer some consequences.

Thoughts: This was Jim Ross's pointless heel turn. The fake Razor Ramon and Diesel was just to poke fun at the NWO.

Jim Cornette says Sunny and Clarence Mason are trying to steal his talent. Vader is teaching him to wrestle so he can bring out the beast in Cornette. He's hired wrestler, Tony Williams to do a demonstration on him. Williams keeps showing Cornette up. Cornette has Vader fire a couple of shots on Williams, and then Cornette humiliates him.

Intercontinental Title Tournament: Semi-Finals

Owen Hart Vs Marc Mero (W/Sable)

Mero wins after nailing Owen with Owen's own cast. This was a decent match between the two. I still think they were capable of much more. The finish protected Owen somewhat as well.

**1/2

Bret Hart says Brian Pillman and Owen Hart are both liars. He really hasn't decided if he wants to come back and wrestle yet.

Intercontinental Title Tournament: Semi-Finals

Farooq (W/Sunny) Vs Sycho Sid

Farooq wins by DQ after Sid nails Farooq with a steel chair. I don't think anybody expected a 5 star classic from these two. I expected a mediocre match, and that's exactly what I got. Sid did look like a badass at the end of the match, though.

*3/4

We get an In Your House: Mind Games report with comments from The Undertaker, Mankind, and Paul Bearer.

4.5/10 overall.
