First off, the show without Damian Lewis really isn't the same. The conflict between Rhoades and Axelrod kept the show going for almost 5 seasons, but it started to stale towards the end of last season.
Adding the character of Mike Prince to try to send the show in a different direction is a ballsy move, and even though it breaks with what this show originally was, it's starting to grow on me.
Where the previous seasons showed the cool investors doing whatever they needed to do to make big profits, the new season tries to switch the narrative to show these rich guys as a quite self-centered bunch. The differences in the world is growing bigger every day, and there is a flaw in the system when some people can spent 300 mill on a giga-yacht, and another 300 mill to greenwash it to make it come off as carbon neutral.
In my eyes, the true protagonist I keep rooting for is Taylor Mason, and I hope that Prince keep pushing their buttons until his well deserved day of reckoning comes. For even though Prince tries to paint a picture of himself being a good guy, he still is a sleazy billionare only focused on his own ever growing wealth and fame.
