Enjoyable If You Forgive the Nonsense Factor

The big show over the black pearl is so contrived. Even thievery has a practical side. To announce to the world you are going to steal something worth millions at a certain time has no basis in practicality. If you need money to follow your dreams, find a more reasonable way to get it. Here is't all for show, to be Lupin, and pursue your childish wishes. The positive side is that this leads to lots of action. One can only imagine the cost to the taxpayers for what this guy is doing. I counted thirty police cars on the screen at one time, each manned with a paid officer and probably a partner. If there are other thieve around, it would be to their advantage to spring into action.

A truly rewarding and fun episode!

After a satisfying end to Season 2, the 3rd season opens in a whirlwind. The entire first episode keeps you on the edge of your seat - rooting for Assane as always. A lot of fun. Flashbacks and -forwards so well done! Awesome beginning to what looks like amazing season. So perfectly cast, and the acting is first rate, with all important characters having returned. All seemingly having matured in their roles... Love the character interactions and new characters. Hoping for many more seasons to come on Netflix. Definitely a sound and obvious investment. If you're looking for fun and upbeat suspense - it's so worth it.

Ridiculous

This episode has to be a bad joke. It's full of plot holes which don't make any sense. It was so comical that I couldn't finish the last 5 minutes. Listen to this: A random guy pretends to be the leader of a elite swat group and it's accepted by every member of the swat group without questioning and then he proceeds to steal the pearl simply by grabbing it while 100 people are simultaneously watching via camera. This is just ridiculous. Don't get me wrong; I loved both season 1 and 2 despite their plot holes, but this is on another level which disrespects the audience. I will not watch another episode of this series, sorry.

Predictable nonsense of how incompetent French police is.

Having your back on what you are guarding,dressed as a special forces cop just by wearing a mask, going to places without disguise and not even bother that you are the most wanted person but with brown eyes and putting a friend of yours to be a new chief of swat team no questions asked! Thats only some of what irritated me the most making the first episode unbearable to watch and cause of laughters. I most certainly hope so that next episodes wont be so hasty full of cliché. As for the women police officers they were like comedians trying to play cops with no success.

Episode 1 and it's a mess

We watched Episode 1 of season 3. I found that the time shifts were especially annoying. I lost track of what order these should be viewed; I saw no point in jumbled narrative.

I was trying to follow the French dialog (I'm half-French) and used the subtitles to fill in the blanks when the characters resorted to mumble-French. Soon enough, I realized I should have taken notes as well as to the time frames. Too much work.

Why couldn't the writers just tell a story from beginning to end?

And plot holes? You bet. The French apparently have an elite police unit which can be infiltrated by a guy who simply shows up, says he is a recent transfer, and now he's in charge. The French Swat officers are apparently so stupid that they fall for this.
