I enjoyed this season opener on the whole, and appreciated the new light thrown on several key characters and relationships. However, from my position in the socialist Kingdom of Canada, the idea of a private individual being able to purchase, and presumably influence the running of, a major hospital is beyond abhorrent. As a result, I don't think I will be able to stomach any subsequent episodes in which this becomes an issue, and I will have to ration my viewing very carefully in future.

Last season felt a little uneven and too political, (not necessarily bad though) but the writers seemed to have gotten the message this time around. I can tell that this season is aiming to make a number of improvements.

Someone with that kind of money Buying up a Hospital has to be some Big shot doctor or consultant you dont have to be mediacally qualified to buy a hospitasl imbbaz .its epeisode One wait it out cause this program is way to good to be judged ..people trashed this on the first season over the Dr being Autistic i argued there are diferent types of autism and looking through the History books some of the worlds greatest leaders professors have been Autistic... shame on those that said its was not possible for a Doctor who is Autistic is unfit to work !!!

(S5. E1) My Live Reaction / Review for The Good Doctor Season 5 Episode 1 ''New Beginnings''. The previous season was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. This mother and her two boys have cancer? Also they say that the reason that the boys have cancer is because the mother had cancer when she was pregnant? Is that even possible? Shaun and Lea have a party and everyone is there. Dr. Glassman is happy for Shaun but also very sad about his own failed relationship and marriage, its sad to watch. I really want Dr. Glassman to find love and be happy. Dr. Andrews is sleeping with different women, that's not good. Overall this episode was good and I enjoyed it. My rating is 9/10.

A young boy's tonsils are being removed, an operation that in David Shore's universe requires presence of the Chief of Surgery with three fourth-year surgical residents but not a single EMT in sight. That's EAR, MOUTH and THROAT doctor, Davey. As a matter of fact the EMT never even comes to say hello to the boy in question. But okay, let's call it artistic license. Because they find a TUMOR in the boy's trachea. Oh my.
And it's not just any tumor. It's... there is no other way to say it... CERVICAL CANCER. Yep, your limited knowledge of medicine is correct - the BOY has UTERUS cancer. How he got it? He INHALED it. During birth.
How can we now not remember en episode of House M. D., a show also "created" by one David Shore, where a soldier had VAGINOSIS in his... MOUTH.
Oh, and there is a woman who has to stop taking Ritalin for a day and goes off the rails wandering everywhere and acting like a Biden-voting 5-year-old.
Somebody PLEASE get Shore a medical consultant who doesn't wear colorfully patterned shirts, doesn't have ironic hair and doesn't smoke marijuana for inspiration. Thank you.
