I don't know what I'm more shocked about, Fallon getting shot or the writers actually incorporating some OG storyline's. I love Alexis, but she was severely underused here- mostly because of the excess amount of cast taking screen time I'm sure, but with her limited scenes she shined. Especially with Brady and how easily she manipulated him, ripped right from the OG. I am disappointed Dex isn't on the show yet, this would of been a good time for their relationship to start to form, hopefully once Brady and the murder trial is wrapped up he will. Jeff's hysteria was an interesting place to take the character, but I'm beyond disappointed he didn't pull the trigger- there is too many characters on the show. The catfight between Fallon and Eva was amazing, probably the best since Cristal and Alexis in "Dead Scratch", I'm sad I can't give that honour to Dominique and Alexis but their 20 second catfight was abysmal. With the promise of OG storyline's heading into season five I have very high hopes for the show, as it shows the level of drama that Dynasty needs to thrive. My hope is next season drastically cuts back on the comedy, and starts taking itself more seriously. I don't feel this season had enough drama or OG, so fingers crossed next season is different (and please, no filler episodes- looking at you 4x04 and 4x19).

This episode was just spectacular!! Fallon and Eva's cat fight was absolutely iconic, Anders' plaque, that whole ending!! I knew one character would get shot but I didn't expect Fallon!! She better be ok. And Alexis better get those murder charges dropped because if she doesn't, Adam will pay! Best finale since season 1, can't wait til season 5 premieres!!

This is Dynasty! The catfight, the drama, the cliffhangers. I could've gone for a little more business related drama but I loved the episode either way! If the episodes keep up this momentum they may actually be able to go to levels of the first two seasons of the show.

Colin was a firecracker to the show and he and Fallon had an amazing chemistry and Colin as a character brought that more competitive, strong and powerful business aspect out of Fallon which has been lacking since S2. I'm just bored of Liam. Fallon is most interesting when she is taking over the world and kicking ass, and if she can't do that with Liam by her side then get someone who can. The ending scene didn't shock me much, I really only care about business Fallon at this point with her character. Otherwise, a lot of original Dynasty nods this episode which was fun to spot. I don't know why they stopped using original lines from the 1981 Dynasty in the show that were also the episode title. I loved waiting to see what character would say it and the callbacks were always great, plus it made the episode more memorable. Dark Adam is back, finally. Goody goody Adam is a bore to watch so as a fan of when Dynasty is darker i was very pleased. What Adam did to Alexis is everything I needed in life, and Elaine looked stunning while it was happening. Another season passed and I still feel nothing for Kirby, Sam or Culhane. Kirby at least is becoming more serious with her storyline's but Sam is a waste of screen time without Steven. Steven is so much more interesting as a character and I continue to get angry at how badly they have shafted him. Steven deserves his place in the show, and hopefully next season is his long awaited return.

Elaine was drop dead gorgeous in that red dress. What a knockout! Alexis should always be dressed so fierce and elegantly. More of that please. I'm impressed they could remake her iconic red ensemble so well. Whenever Dynasty honours and homages the original- that's when it's my favourite.

The season finale was a good episode overall. I love the OG references when Alexis goes to jail. That outfit was everything we could have asked for. Arin Burke indeed needs to keep on recreating OG outfits and not only Alexis'. The cliffhanger was okay but it would have been a thousand times better if Beto had shot too so at least Blake would have been hurt too. It made zero sense to show Fallon bleeding because she's obviously not gonna die. The season overall is a good improvement over s3 but there are still a few things that need to be improved. First, Alexis needs to have 22 episodes. It's a shame that side characters like Sam and Culhane get more! Dex needs to be introduced to Alexis can run companies instead of being just a socialite. Like this, there would also be material for a businesswoman feud with Fallon. Fallon Unlimited is boring and has no real purpose, it should be replaced back with Carrington Atlantic! Fallon and Liam had the worst storylines in the season, I hope they give them better material in s5 instead of making Liam just a trophy husband. He had a storyline but it was mostly an offscreen storyline. Cristal and Alexis need to have more scenes together. Claudia should also be brought back so she could start a partnership with Adam. There are at least 3 characters (Sam, Kirby and Culhane) that are very sided have no real purpose. Sam and Culhane should have been written out 2 seasons ago. Kirby is actually the one who has the best material and the best interactions with the Carringtons among these 3 so if the choice is axing 1 or 2 she may be saved as she's a lowkey fan favorite as well. There should be more original characters, storylines, scenes AND lines. Ever since they stopped repeating lines that were also episode titles, the show pretty much lost the charm!! Last but not least, where the hell is STEVEN?!

This is Dynasty. A reboot from an OG soap which ushered in the next era of drama, power, greed and has inspired and continued to inspire numerous forms of media entertainment. I just feel like it's playing it way too safe and not taking any risks. I don't feel the stakes on the show- and how can I when my favourite characters, Dominique, Alexis, Cristal, Blake and even Amanda and Adam are all taking the backseat to Fallon and Liam. My patience for them grew very thin this season, but due to the last two episodes, I was more invested than before. However, I don't see how they can continue to lead this show. Cristal and Blake, or even Alexis and Dex (who is sorely missed and needed badly for the show) can take their place. Kirby had a promising start this season- becoming more antagonist due to her substance abuse storyline, and following in the footsteps of Sammy Jo from the original, which was a great place to take a character who hasn't had anything going for her in a long time. With the help of her book of Carrington secrets, I hope she really brings down the hammer next season, otherwise why keep her around? Speaking of which, Culhane's storyline was done long ago, I wish he would just go so Alexis can get more screen time. We don't know the outcome of what happened, but Alexis needs to become more business savvy, and I think she needs ColbyCo to do so. If she doesn't have a business to drive her she will end up going in circles as a character for the rest of the series. The directing of the finale was really a superb job. Kudos to the cast and crew for pushing through the pandemic. I just hope next season has more drama and stakes.

All the build up, for this?! Fallon gets shot in the thigh, big deal. Does that mean she can't have children anymore? Not only does the reboot feel like it was written for preteens, but also written by one. Dominique's devious ex husband is on the run, so forget his plans for her. Jeff conveniently having a breakdown to scare him off, was a way to make sure of that. As if Michael could ever be in real danger... The Eva thing got so out of hands, they had a perfect opportunity to include her and be Liam's next love interest. Before he gets back with Fallon, obviously. But they had to go the cliché psycho stalker route with her. And get rid of her as well, with the shooting incident. And Beto, who won't probably show up again anytime soon. The show has no spine, it takes zero risks, like the original series did. And when it feels like it does, it's only for a minute and in a very bland and predictable way. Just to swoop everything out, when it gets too serious. I hate that. But I loved that they addressed the Alexis arrest plot. With the same dress, hair and attitude. Only I thought they would kill two birds with one stone, and destroy La Mirage as well. Making season 4 finale, a mix of the original series third and sixth season cliffhanger endings... I'm not mad next season is the last, and I'm looking forward to it. But I hope they stop kidding around.
