1 and 10 star reviews????? What on Earth is going through people's heads when they're reviewing a ten minute snip of The Vicar of Dibley.
It's not brilliant, but at least it's not a repeat, there were some points of realism here. Let's just knock this on the head here and now, the character said it herself, Black lives matter, and of course all lives should matter equally, what is it about that thought that seems to trigger people so easily.
I'm the first to criticise the BBC for its appallingly woke attitude and obvious phobia for upsetting anyone, the only line that irritated me here was her apology for Dibley not being diverse!! That was an absurd thing to do.
I appreciated the memories of Alice, the show would never be the same without the joyous eccentricities and innocence of Miss Tinker, and I loved how sensitively Geraldine remembered her scatty, but loveable verger.
It wasn't in the slightest bit funny, but it made some interesting points, it made us think of the year we've had, and it looked back at the wonderful Emma Chambers.
Those that criticised it for being political, have you ever actually watched the show? It's conception was political.
Decent, better than the first, 6/10.
