News of Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, dating his late brother Beau’s widow, Hallie Biden, has made recent headlines — perhaps especially given the tight-knit nature of the Biden family. But the unexpected romance between Hunter and Hallie stems from a deep bond formed as they grieved the loss of Beau together. And the relationship, which is supported by Joe and Jill Biden, hasn’t affected any family dynamics, according to Biden family members.
“We take great pride in the fact that we have each other with all that’s going on in this world today,” Joe’s brother Jim Biden tells People.

With limited time we were able to catch up with him while he was in between takes. Guided into a dimly lit stage we came across a massive set which consist of large heads which look like they are carved from stone. These large heads are know as the engineers or the elders that once had a civilization on this planet. Here is what he had to say about his latest film.
What's with all the heads?
Ridley Scott: If you ask me they were a people who were superior. These were probably the ten apostles, the wise men.
We hear you're going back to horror with this film?
Scott: Well, yeah. Alien was kind of a posh horror film.

Kathryn Bigelow has nabbed the Directors Guild of America award for her work on "The Hurt Locker."
The feature film award and other directorial achievement awards were announced during the 62nd Annual DGA Awards Dinner on Saturday, Jan. 30 in Los Angeles, hosted by Carl Reiner.
In the past, the DGA's feature film award winner has been a decent predictor of who will win the best director Oscar. Since 1948, the DGA and Academy have only differed six times in that category.
Bigelow beat out fellow directors James Cameron ("Avatar"), Lee Daniels ( "Precious: Based on the novel 'Push' by Sapphire"), Jason Reitman ("Up in the Air") and Quentin Tarantino ("Inglourious Basterds").
The other awards in directorial achievement follow:
Documentary
Louie Psihoyos, "The Cove"
Dramatic Series Night
Lesli Linka Glatter, "Mad Men" episode "Guy Walks Into an Advertising Agency" (AMC)
Comedy Series
Jason Winer, "Modern Family" "Pilot" episode (ABC)

In an historic win, Kathryn Bigelow and her tense Iraq War drama "The Hurt Locker" from Summit Entertainment copped the DGA Award for best-directed feature film Saturday.
The win drew cheers from a packed ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza, where throughout the night it was clear many were pulling for Bigelow to deliver a dramatic victory for female filmmakers. The DGA feature film win was a first-ever by a woman.
"This is the most incredible moment of my life," Bigelow said.
Bigelow overcame competition including Fox-distributed "Avatar," directed by her ex-husband James Cameron; Lee Daniels and "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire" from Lionsgate; Jason Reitman and "Up in the Air" from Paramount; and Quentin Tarantino and "Inglourious Basterds" from the Weinstein Co.

The Director's Guild Awards were held last night, and they're pretty much useless as awards go, but they do seem to be the last of the major awards before the Oscar nominations are announced on Tuesday. The "major shocker" here, apparently, is that Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker) beat out her ex-husband James Cameron for best director, although it's only a "major shocker" if the Golden Globes were the only awards this season you're familiar with. In fact, the bigger shock would've been if Cameron had won, since of the 9 major awards for director so far this awards season, Bigelow has won seven now, to Cameron's one (Golden Globes) and Clint Eastwood's one (The National Board). So, please, La Times, "shocking" is the last fucking word you could use to describe Bigelow's victory, which you should know since you're the goddamn "Awards Insider." I have no idea why this bothers me,...
