The end is near

In this episode we see Teresa handles one of the biggest threat to not only her narco business but also her well-being as well as her loved ones. We learned from the previous episode that Kostya is not only dangerous but also basically untouchable. James and Teresa tried to workout a way to get rid of him but that seem to be near impossible task, until Teresa came up with a plan that if she can meet Kostya alone, she has a chance to kill him. Given how much of big deal they made Kostya to be in the beginning of the season and how he never meets with his clients or partners. He seems kinda dumb to me as to how he quickly accepts Teresa's offer to meet up. Not only that, I find his demise to be disappointing and uneventful. There's no explanation as to how Teresa manages to poisoned the cup. And I expect a more drastic reaction from his henchmen, in all I just find the sequence to be lackluster but I understand he has to go. With Kostya out of the way, Teresa has no hindrance to operate across Europe but she wanted out of the business? Cool, can't wait to see how that turns out. In another aspect of the episode, where Pote and Kelly Anne live in a small town under fake identity. This part of episode is lighthearted unlike the rest of the episode where things are gloomy and all about death. We see Pote and Kelly Anne trying to fit in and adapt to the new environment. But it's only a matter of time before Pote is back in on the action of course. On the whole, a really good episode that sets the stage well for the big finale.

Really??! That's the best the writers and creators could come up with ???

They've known for some time now that they were going to bring the show to an end at the end of Season 5. Yet they effectively bring the show to a close not just in one Episode, but from one scene to the next?!!! This has to be an all time record! UGH! Looking forward to seeing the actual "El Final" if only to say goodbye and see what happens to the remaining characters. It's also too bad the show had to end due to its networks "change of direction" (away from dramatic television and on to some other pablum they can spoon feed the masses ...)
