Doesn't deserve the low rating but...

The low rating is odd but the episode is not a slam dunk either. The different perspectives were interesting but they were so subtle that the episode felt overlong and redundant. The two leads are really good though.

A better episode than most of the season - still quite a snooze

It is "Modern Love" meets "The Affair", but poorly executed. I had wished to see something more innovative.

New concept but not memorable

Warning: Spoilers
The concept is refreshing. Cinematography looks stunning. But the constract between the perspective ain't that much. The story ain't memorable.

I can help, and I'm not judging.

What you thought of this episode depends more on you than the content. We are progressing but many will find it too gay. I think the ratings are low because of this. The reviews are good because of those defending it. The whole second season has woke to not being entertaining, but politically correct.

What's wrong with people?

All 10 stars and a thumbs up👍. This is probably one of my favorite episodes of the season. Funny thing! I didn't like it much the first time. May be I wasn't paying the attention, but when I rewatched it, it just hit me. Isn't is always the case with broken relationships, each one remembers and talks about the things differently. The way two POVs are presented here is just marvelous. Going back and Forth with the story was flawless.

Very well directed, and great acting.

Finally, People who didn't like it, please rewatch it. I am sure you will see subtle but meaningful details this time.

Cheers.

People must not have paid attention...

Still baffled this episode got the lowest rate of this season. Insanely well-edited, and beautifully exposes a huge "problem" of every other episode of the entire series: an essay is based on a single POV. "How do you remember me?" Breaks attempts to break that wall. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. DO NOT SKIP.

Beautiful episode

Love this episode, shot really well, it also made me cry. Maybe it's the New Yorker in me but it just really hits home. I agree I really don't know how it can be rated so low.

Brilliant

Warning: Spoilers
Andrew Renalls captured the experience, that I think every Gay man has has at least once. It is so true that when 2 people connect and part. They do both seem to remember things differently. One Night or 9 months it doesn't matter.

Bravo Andrew Renalls!

Had to watch it twice
annette-8753626 August 2021
I will admit the first time I watched it I thought it was boring! I didn't get it And I was fully prepared to write a negative review. Then I read the reviews and realized it was a story told from two different perspectives. It was either subtle or I was tired and missed that :). When I watched it the second time I thought it was amazing!

Loved it. Beautifully written acted and directed. I feel like I have been on this date more than once both viewpoints rang true for me. Hopefully we'll see more of Mr Rannells work from behind the camera. He brings a gentle touch to the whole undertaking.
