Not That Bad

Was gonna give it a 6 because it was just meh (the Hitler joke was nice tho) but the ending song and Sam Elliot and Seth singing was so good that I'm giving it a 7.

Another Pretty Decent Episode
colek-3711723 November 2020
This Ending Was A Feel Good Episode in the end change was made in Family Guy The jokes were blander per say but the story is really put well together i only say 8 just because the comedy wasn't really active which is not a problem in the ending a feel good song and a special guest star who will make a great mayor and i hope this person makes change

Wild Wild West

Warning: Spoilers
Look, you can't even call Family Guy stupid at this point: it is way beyond that.

But I would be lying if I said I did not laugh at a bunch of things in this one.

FAIL! A contender for the worst episode in 19 years!

Warning: Spoilers
Indescribable how incredibly dumb this episode is! Looking at your television while it's "off" is more entertaining, and the pathetic thing is that episodes continue to get worse.

Not one character in this cartoon is the same as it was only five years ago. Brian is just the pet now, Stewie has no intelligence, Quagmire has no interest in women ("giggity" expression is banned), Cleveland isn't allowed to talk, Joe is a goof with no personality or contribution, Lois is only a punch line, every episode now delivers at least one liberal pc agenda message and one identity politics insult to the Right.

Damn!!! That was great man!

Actually, that was a great tribute to The Big Sam Elliott. The last scene was a reunion of all animals of the show, including: Evil monkey , Xerxes (if you don't know this one , watch the show again!), that dumb horse, that fighting rooster..... and... they gave us a good feeling without destroying it! (like that squirrel) And the great parody of Three Amigos and that good feeling song was amazing. The whole episode was full of respect that's what make S19.E07 special and great! and I really hope to see Sam Elliott more in the show. Just close your eyes and dream little pall.... Dream of .... Some one... bamba bam bam bamba bam bam bamba bam bam bam babamba bamm

Another of the kind

One more "We hate Republicans" episode. I fell in love with the Family guy because they made fun mercilessly of everything and everyone. Now it's only and solely Republicans and all values associated with them.

It's like formerly super hot girl who turned junkie and aged 80 years. Unrecognizable. Sad.

FG going for drama?
burteriksson10 December 2020
Was this supposed to be comedy or an attempt towards drama? Reminds me of South Park during that weird era of war with Denmark or whatever the hell there was going on at that one point. It almost seemed as they didn't even try to be funny. And I think they accomplished that mission pretty well - just like FG here.

Something weird about this episode... Oh, yeah: no cutaways.

One to the Best in a While

After this seasons episode ranged from decent to scrap, this is the first good episode this season. The premise of who will be the next mayor of Quahog was a good one. Overall good episode.

Solid

Family guy tends to be very hit and miss with it's newer episodes, however this one is definitely one of the better new ones. Casting Sam Elliot as the new mayor of Quahog stays in line with the tradition of Family Guy being able to cast big name actors for part time roles (Adam West, Carrie Fischer, Drew Barrymore) so I think Sam was a great choice. The episode is pretty standard, with hit or miss jokes, but with more hits than misses. Most of the jokes with Sam were fun, and it was nice they used one of their minor characters for the plot. I think the ultimate highlight of the episode is the song at the end. Family Guy's quality may be hotly contested with some people, but the show has always been great with songs; even in their worst seasons the highlight is whenever they add in a fun little showtune. Out of all the adult cartoons, Family Guy has always been consistently great at songs, so it was a treat to see one in this episode. Overall, easily one of the better episodes of the recent seasons.

A decent premise spoiled by yet more Trump Derangement Syndrome
RogerBorg6 January 2022
What could go wrong in an episode where Sam Elliot guests as a cowboy, and they revisit the tried and tested "Lois runs for mayor" premise.

Er, I mean, Lois' proxy runs for mayor. Same difference, with less 9/11, and more snarling, sneering hatred directed at anyone in Hollywood or Washington to the right of Pol Pot.

Apart from the derangement, and a sadly whiffed reference to Blazing Saddles, it's a tightly written episode with some actual zippy lines, which serves to highlight how lazy the rest of the writing in this season has been.

But... there's derangement in them thar hills. They just can't get over it.

One of the worst episodes, period.
Zareph20 December 2021
Unfunny and pandering, this was a bad episode even for Family Guy's standards. And I don't like the new mayor one bit. Also where were all the jokes? I don't even think there was a single cutaway. Whoever rated this highly needs his/her head examined.
