Not as strong as the first episode with less nostalgia and money story.

A bit less credible I feel but still a fair watch as the hairdresser infiltrates the opposition.

Ok but not brilliant.

Thoroughly enjoyable second episode.

Vivien gets her feet under the table at the heart of Colin Jordan's setup, but she finds she's living in a close knit community.

This is one of the most uncomfortable things I've watched for quite some time, I thought the story was captivating, if shameful, the pacing and direction added a hell of a lot also.

How good was Rory Kinnear here as Colin Jordan, I'm so used to seeing him as a good guy, or in comedy roles, he is absolutely loathsome here, he even has a Hitler style comb over.

Incredible production values once again, I am so impressed once again by how they fuse old abd new film.

Excellent I thought, 9/10.

Episode 2

The opening scenes from the first episode added interest but also robbed it off some thrills. You know that a blonde Vivien will end up with Colin Jordan.

Vivien's family up in Manchester are worried about their daughter up in London. Her intended suitor Jeremy Klein uses not so unsubtle pressure on her family. Vivien's dad's shop is owned by the Klein family and there is a threat to jack up the rent.

Vivien manages to persuade Colin Jordan to let her see Jack. Later the 62 Group sees a chance for Vivien to plant a transmitter so they can monitor Jordan's movements more closely.

It is a dangerous mission for Vivien and also allows her to be close to Jordan. Unfortunately it was all rather routinely done. There was no intrigue or danger.

There is something not quiet right with the drama. I wonder if it might be because it was made under Covid restrictions. There are a lack of extras, a small cast and maybe there was extensive rewriting to accommodate the challenges of the post lockdown era.
