It's good to see John enjoying himself again.

This pandemic has been hard on stand up comedians. Some of them seem to be taking their captivity well, but the months have been grating on John. And he actually has a regular paycheck! But look at the subjects he's had to draw on - nine episodes on aspects of Covid19 alone including evictions as well as prisons and jail being hot spots for the spread of the virus, the ethnic cleansing of the Uyghers, and Trump's border wall being sold to the public like Shamwows are sold on late night TV, with all of the grifting and poor decisions that went with it. And yet John soldiers on without that which comics feed upon - the laughter of the live audience. But his child like sense of mischief has been slowly waning. Until tonight.

A couple of weeks ago John went on a tirade against the city of Danbury, Connecticut concerning how juries were selected there. Apparently he had selected Danbury before for verbal punishment. But this time they were not going to take it anymore. Local news reporters lashed back verbally, a little kid from Danbury got on TV to tell John what his mom thought of him, and finally the mayor of Danbury tells a news crew he plans to rename their waste treatment facililty after John.

Well all of this rancor coming from Danbury put the twinkle back in John's eyes for the first time in over six months. When the mayor walked back his statement to rename the sewage treatment plant after John, John responded with "I need this" - I think he really does need this folks - and produced a ready made sign to give to Danbury so they wouldn't have to spend a dime of the tax payers' money on the renaming.
