In the future in deep space a man hunts for reserves of spices from a long forgotten Earth.
This animated short is somewhat of a proof of concept for a bigger webseries, and as such it is an amusing start that brings energy and an unique concept in its narrative. What it delivers is not too startling though, but it is fun in how it moves with a sparky lightness, and has fun dialogue and interplay between the characters. The animation is slick too. It does feel very polished, but it was perhaps not quite fun enough to carry it off - it felt like it was working hard with what it had, and there is scope for it to deliver more when it gets confidence and the luxury of time to flesh it out.
Slick and fun for what it is though, even if it feels a little superficial.
