Having introduced most of the characters and explained the situation in the opening episode the story continues with the group setting off in the van to look for Harriet's friend Jonathan Geddes. When they get to his centre it look as if their effort was in vain as there is no sign of life and Geddes's office contains a long dead body with his ID clipped to it and a message on a computer suggesting that things were much worse than expected after the impact. Just as they are coming to terms with this Harriet, Ian and Mick find them selves trapped in the control room as the air pressure increases; clearly Geddes thought Harriet wouldn't want to go on living afterwards so had booby trapped the room. While those three are in the control room Roe goes for a walk and discovers that they are not a lone; there is also a strange girl who looks innocent enough but could be a threat. We also learn that the business man who got split up from the group is alive although it looks like he might not stay that way when he meets a man with a shotgun at his old office.
After the original set up this was a good second episode that gave more depth to the characters; Zoe Telford was good as the pregnant Roe and Caroline Carver was suitably enigmatic as the mysterious girl. Some times it seems the group argue a little too much, especially the family; one would thing they had more things to worry about than why the mother had left their father. With Harriet's initial goal proving a disappointment for the group it was nice that their new destination in Scotland is a fair distance so it will take the rest of the series to get there rather than having a destination of the week.
