Best episode of this season
sjbowen-4649023 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Season 4 was definitely the worst season by far, so cringey and hard to watch, but this episode was truly heartwarming. Alex has clearly been struggling with his sexuality and the fact that when him and Charlie were named prom "royalty" the football team 100% cheered him on and supported him, there was nothing but love there, no hate or judgment!

Prom (#4.9)

Warning: Spoilers
A prom episode full of cliches. Outdated ones too. I think we are beyond in time where the coming out scene with the father having known that before and saying all the overused phrases. Also why so surprised when there were two kings, this is normal for at least 10 years now. It is just good that Alex and Charles are so cute together. Dean being gay, that was a surprise. Well, into finale!

Calm of the Storm

Very beautiful, touching, and tragic!!! Thoroughly enjoyed, no, loved the idea and execution of two Prom Kings. This heartwarming, unprecedentedly great episode sure knows how to provide stark contrast. Everything a prom should be... and then some.

Atlast one happy episode

13 reasons why is a depressing series. I mean almost everything happening with them is bad. All they think about is the truth coming out. And this episode was one of the best episodes of the whole series. Though the ending was quite sad. But that prom king and king part was really cute

Meh

Warning: Spoilers
A bit better than the previous episode. The first 30 mins were perfectly tolerable. Some predictable, cringeworthy and unrealistic moments at the prom: the crowd parting when Justin arrived, for one. The madness of Clay seems to be largely ignored in this episode. The season is not flowing well. Glad there's only one episode left.

13 reasons why worst episode
jamesranola8 June 2020
I don't know why this episode is rated so high (relative to the series). It felt like I was watching a poorly made filler episode where nothing happens. This episode is literally just a compilation of dancing teens and poorly written cliches. Most of the scenes were cringe worthy and so hard to watch. All the intensity of the series just disappeared as they aired this joke of an episode. If they cut the final 20 mins of this episode and jumped to the end, it would have been more bearable to watch. And not to be homophobic or anything but, this series (particularly this episode) is trying too hard to represent the gay community. Watch it and you'll see.

An episode which gave me so much feelings
naydenlover3 December 2020
"Prom" is an episode which is well deserved and earned in this season because after everything that has happened to have them nearly lose prom would be soul crashing but seeing them all happy and "living life" is so perfect!. Also I have to credit this show for showing that gay or straight everyone can have love and be loved and the Prom King's part was ADORABLE! And that ending, I went from happy feels to screaming at my screen in shock!

I think this show needs more gay characters
louis101112 June 2020
I think this show needs to be doing a better job of representing LGGBDTTTIQQAAP characters. The fact that the show only has cis-gender gay characters I found very insensitive. Also why aren't there any pansexual or non-binary characters. This really shows us that the creators of this show have an alt-right agenda.

Final joy
voitichyael22 February 2024
It was definitely the best episode of this season. It was a sparkling light in the middle of darkness (which don't get me wrong, the darkness is a crucial part of the show). The episode was extremely well executed and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it . I believe it provided closure for many characters and was just simply very wholesome and a great portrayal of rare pure joy and relaxation. Additionally, there were many necessary plot developments in this episode and it gave deeper insight into the personal relationships between many characters. Finally, it was a truly comforting moment of peace that in my opinion allowed me to process the previous events and internalise the growth of every character. I think that every single part of this episode was amazingly choreographed and well thought and I really do believe that this episode was greatly needed.
