Out of the Darkness
lavatch13 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
"Tenebris" (darkness") returns to the Vernon Howard theme of light versus dark. The nefarious Elliott is brought out of the shadows to reveal a diabolical scheme to fill the world with darkness with his concoction of a biological agent.

Single-handedly, Em and Nick are working methodically to free the prisoners at the compound. Nick discovers and frees Nabila, the mother of Ratif. Even Cal joins them in taking out the evil Armstrong. While Nick is moving the inmates out of their pens, Em has broken free of her bonds and the nail inserted into her left hand. Now, she moves to locate Elliott.

Back on the ranch, young Flynn escapes to the barn where he picks up his bow and quiver of arrows. His first two shots miss Dawkins, but his third shot is true with a hit to the leg. Dawkins observes of Flynn that "you're more like your mother than your father." That statement is proven accurate when Flynn leads the unsuspecting Dawkins to step over the flimsy well cover and tumble to his death in the well. An ambulance is called to attend to Dr. Jack.

Crown and Gunnarsen now have sufficient evidence to arrest Deputy FBI Director Foster Webb. He sent out significant funds after the death of SA Gifty Thompson. And, multiple trips were recorded of his travels to Austria. When Crown and Gunnarsen arrive at Webb's hotel room, they discover his body swinging from a rope. Apparently, the Deputy Director felt the walls closing in on him.

After Elliott finally discovers the computer chip in the rosary beads, he apparently sends out a cryptic message. When Em confronts him, a scuffle ensues. Elliott is stabbed by his own hypodermic needle, possibly containing the "biographical agent" that he has apparently sent to a mysterious woman. The secrets within the files were not dirt on British politicians, but a devilish toxin.

Elliott claimed that he was only a poor boy from Nebraska. In his twisted mind, he viewed the dark side of humanity: "We are a violent species," he claimed. For Elliott, money meant power. By the conclusion of this penultimate episode, we only know that a mysterious "she" has the biological agent."

Well that took a turn...

We went from FBI to Emily being a female John Wick, taking out all the guards in the hallway with their own guns. The torture scene was brutal. At least they cleared Cal Isaac.
